Visa requirements overview
As of January 1, 2023, the Schengen acquis is fully applicable in the Republic of Croatia as a Schengen Area Member State. The visa regime of the Republic of Croatia aligns with the EU acquis. From this date, Schengen visas (Types A and C) and national long-term visas (Type D) are issued at Croatian diplomatic missions and consular offices. Time spent in the Republic of Croatia counts towards the time allowed in other Schengen Area Member States. Third-country nationals, whether they require a visa or not, may stay in the Schengen Area for up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
Participants are solely responsible for complying with visa requirements. Those needing an entry visa must allow ample time for the application process. To facilitate the immigration process, participant registration details for DESIGN 2024 may be shared with immigration authorities. Participants who need an invitation letter for visa purposes must first complete their registration and pay the registration fee in full. After completing these steps, they can request an invitation and/or warranty letter from the Organizers. This request should be made via email only. Please send your request to design2024@fsb.hr with the subject line 'Visa Invitation Letter'. When requesting an invitation letter, the following information must be included in your email:
- Name and Surname
- Date and Place of Birth
- Nationality
- Passport Number
- Issuing Authority of Passport
- Date of Issue and Expiry of Passport
- Current Residence
- Occupation
- Employer
- Duration of Stay in Croatia (from date - to date)
- Address in Croatia
- Contact Details (Address, Telephone Number, Email)
All expenses related to the event and visas are the participant's responsibility. If a visa is denied, 50% of the registration fee will be refunded, minus a 50€ administrative charge. This refund is conditional upon the participant submitting an official rejection document from the embassy and ensuring that the application was submitted no later than March 25, 2024.
